White Cap Awarded 2021 Safety in Construction Award from Georgia Hispanic Construction Association

Every year, the Georgia Hispanic Construction Association (GHCA) recognizes companies and individuals who make a difference in the construction industry and the Georgia Hispanic community. White Cap is incredibly honored to be recognized by the GHCA with the 2021 Safety in Construction award for our dedication to Safety and Sustainability in the industry, as well as serving the Hispanic construction community.

As reported by the Regional Hispanic Construction Association, in 2019, Hispanic workers experienced the highest rate of work-related fatal injuries at 10.8 incidents per 100,000 full-time equivalent workers, in comparison to other ethnicities at 9.0. That is why helping Hispanic construction workers to stay safe on the job is a top priority at White Cap.

We have joined forces with Hispanic American Construction Associations around the country to support as many safety-training events as possible, with plans to extend these efforts and partnerships in 2022 to increase our impact. At White Cap, we believe your background shouldn’t affect how safe you are at any job.

The GHCA is a local non-profit that offers educational and business development resources to the Hispanic construction community in Georgia, which is White Cap’s headquarters state. White Cap will be honored alongside other GHCA Annual Award recipients at their 10th Annual Awards Gala on December 3, 2021. Learn more here.
