White Cap’s Chief Information Officer (CIO) Randy Fox has been named a finalist for the 2021 Georgia CIO of the Year ORBIE Awards presented by the GeorgiaCIO Leadership Association. The White Cap Information Technology team has paved the way for our separation from HD Supply and integration of Construction Supply Group (CSG). IT supports our rapidly expanding team, establishes key strategies and robust infosec capabilities, develops new and improved IT processes, and implements new systems, all while providing critical ongoing IT support for daily business operations.

Not only is this an immense undertaking for the White Cap IT organization, but it also requires engagement from our entire company spanning North America and Canada. The IT Integration teams are leading the execution of our IT roadmap, with the support of many of our functional departments. They have not only played critical roles in the entire process, but also provided robust training to all White Cap associates to give them to the tools to understand how to operate within our new systems.

We are enabling the creation of our new White Cap company by building core IT elements necessary to transact business and connect over 400 locations with common tools and capabilities. Thanks to the guidance of our Information Security team, our data systems utilize cutting edge technology to store and share information throughout the entire company. Our efforts enable better customer service through improved inventory visibility, fulfillment capability, jobsite delivery efficiency, and increased pickup locations, products and services.

It is incredible to see the work our IT team has accomplished thus far.  Whether involved in the many hours that it took to make the integration possible, or the equally critical work of ensuring that our customers experienced no impact to their daily exceptional service through it all, everyone played a key role in paving the way to get us to this point.

The CIO of the Year ORBIE Awards is the premier technology executive recognition program in the United States.
